Veronica Walck is a multimedia artist in pursuit of continuous learning while nurturing her accomplished skills in drawing and painting. Every piece of Veronica’s work tells its own story, as she threads narrative through thoughtful composition. Born in Babylon, NY, Veronica’s interest in art began when living with her uncle, artist James Koegel, who encouraged her natural creativity with painting supplies. Veronica eventually became a certified emergency nurse following her desire to support the critically ill and ended her career as an air medical certified flight nurse. Upon retirement, Veronica returned to art completing an apprenticeship with Jay Davenport, Jim Thorpe, practicing in charcoal, learning the Language of Art Program. Under the guidance of Anthony Waichulis and Chelsea Herron at the ANI Art Academy,Veronica studied oil painting with an emphasis on visual language, repetitive practice, realism, and Notan portraits with the use of Tromp L’oeil art in 2018. Veronica has since won awards for her work while selling timeless pieces to diverse buyers including the People’s Choice Award at the Palmerton Library in 2019 for her portrait in pastel, “Pondering the Possibility.” Veronica continues to create from a place of curiosity and compassion, providing a distinctive style to the artist community.
