After retiring I needed something to do for myself . . . fill in my time . . . to help my recovery of an addiction I battled most of my life. A beautifully talented friend and mentor of mine mentioned giving these art classes a try at a studio which she attends. In September 2022 I became a student of Davenport Art Studio which has changed my life in so many ways. Jay Davenport is a very talented teacher. Taking his classes not only is teaching me to draw . . . But I can better see beauty in all art . . . learning more and more everyday. As of now I do charcoal and pastel drawings. Hope to try oil painting in the future. I am and will be forever great full for all their help and encouragement's along with my family that is very supportive of me and enjoy my work . . . I am truly blessed.
